How to Greatly Improve the Reality of Your Family Life

As the sun begins to peak over the horizon your alarm clock gently wakes you with a pleasant chime. You arise and begin to prepare breakfast for your still sleeping family. As you wake each child with a loving good morning, you throw a load of wash into the machine and your children quietly rise and begin to dress and get ready for school. You marvel at how your family life has changed and how quickly and calmly your children rise and prepare themselves for the day ahead without whining, complaining or fighting.

When your children arrive home from school you have a healthy snack waiting on the table. You sit down with your kids and enjoy a few minutes with them as they reminisce about their day. As they finish their snacks, your kids quickly clear the table and go to a designated place to start their homework. Now you can begin to prepare dinner because finally your kids know what is expected and there are no arguments. And you let them know that you will be available to help them with their questions in about 15 minutes.

After you have made the rounds and helped anyone who needed your help, your kids relax with activities that you have sanctioned, or free play together. The house is calm, your kids are happy and you finish your dinner preparations. As you think over the past weeks, you cannot believe how much your family life has improved.

Dinner is no longer chaotic. There are no longer fights between siblings and dinner is tear-free. You enjoy each other’s company as you talk and share together. After dinner, your kids help to clear the table, do some basic chores and start their bath and shower routine. As your kids get ready for bed and brush their teeth, you spend a few minutes tucking them into bed and kissing them goodnight. Perhaps you even read them a story. As a result of your efficient routine, you can quickly tidy up and prepare for the next day.

Is this a far-off dream that is only found in storybooks, or is it a true representation of what your family life could be like in the coming weeks? Although it seems impossible, I assure you that this can be your reality and it can happen sooner than you think.

Imagine a scenario where you are able to stay on top of your game, get everything done and your kids are not up way past their bedtime. Now let’s think about how your home is running. Do you have a daily routine and is that working for you? Are you able to find what you need quickly and easily? Is your home a source of calm and comfort or do you operate under stress every day?
